One of the hallmarks of Having a Good Time is dancing like no one’s watching, even when everyone is watching, because you’re the most followed woman on Instagram. Selena Gomez apparently had the time of her life at Sabrina Carpenter’s New York stop on the Short n’ Sweet tour, and if you don’t believe me, you haven’t seen this video of her dancing like her life depends on it.
On September 29, hours after the show at Madison Square Garden wrapped, Gomez shared a video to Instagram of herself dancing to Carpenter’s “Juno.” She was dressed in full glam for the show, adhering to a self-imposed “sparkles-only” dress code. The 32-year-old paired her black mini dress, complete with a pleated, sheer-paneled skirt, with a pair of gem-studded fishnets that shimmered in the light. Gomez wore her long hair in brushed out curls, and finished off the glam with a copper smokey eye.

Gomez attended the show with her best friend Connar Franklin, but the Only Murders in the Building actor dedicated the song to her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, by way of her Instagram caption. Now, I might be reading into this, but the message seemed pretty clear to me: Gomez wants to have babies with Blanco. After all, “Juno” references the 2007 Diablo Cody film of the same name about teen pregnancy: “I might let you make me Juno/ You know I just might/ Let you lock me down tonight/ One of me is cute, but two though?”
Selena Gomez recently opened up about her inability to carry her own children due to health complications. However, she’s still sure that she wants to be a mother, and has looked into alternatives, including surrogacy. Blanco, too, has said that he wants to be a father, telling Howard Stern in May 2024—barley a year into his relationship—that kids were on his to-do list. “That’s my next goal, to check the box. I have a ton of god-kids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids,” he said.
Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.
