By now you’ve heard the news that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Spider-Man 4 alongside Tom Holland.
But while fans mull over which fictional redhead the 22-year-old actor is going to play—the most popular theory is probably X-Men’s Jean Grey—they’ll still have to wait for Spidey to stop filming Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey before production of the Marvel x Sony project can even begin. Even if all goes according to plan and Spider-Man starts filming this summer, it won’t come out until July 31, 2026. And no, we don’t have confirmation on Zendaya just yet.
At least we know we’ll get to see Sink reprise her role as snarky skater girl Max Mayfield in Stranger Things some time in 2025, though no official date has been announced.
Herein lies the problem. Despite amassing a stunning following since joining the hit Netflix series in season two in 2017 at just 14 years old, Sink has been purposeful about choosing roles that challenge her instead of racking up a list of TV and film credits a mile wide.
And while you’ve probably watched Taylor Swift’s music video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” enough times to catch every Easter egg, there are still plenty of projects worth catching up on while you wait for ST5 and SM4. Here is a handy list.
O’Dessa (2025)
Sadie Sink must love the ’80s. The 22-year-old actor stars in yet another retro sci-fi project, this time set to rock music.
The film hits Hulu on March 20.
