In a continued effort to prove to America that she literally is a Disney princess, Emily Blunt hosted the American Institute for Stuttering’s annual gala in a floral, red-and-white two-piece gown that looks made for singing with cartoon birds.
Blunt’s Erdem look featured a cropped, sleeveless top with a plunging neckline that matched the full, drop-waisted skirt. Both pieces featured a print of red roses, with darker red stripes interspersed throughout. The styling for this outfit was particularly light on jewelry. Not only was Blunt not wearing a necklace, she didn’t add any bracelets or rings either—only a pair of ruby red drop earrings to match both the dress and her crimson manicure.
Emily Blunt is a former stutterer herself, and has become an advocate for children living with a stutter, which explains why she was tapped to host the gala, which took place in New York City on September 16. Back in 2023, Blunt said on stage, per Variety, “I am grateful to shed light on [stuttering] because it is a disability that lives very often in the shadows alongside its friends: fear and shame and humiliation.” In her speech she continued, “A stutter is like an imposter living in your body. Who doesn’t pay rent. And completely and utterly misrepresents who you are as a person.”
