Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman Got Married in a Secret Las Vegas Ceremony

Congratulations are in order for Gabby Windey! No, she hasn’t won The Traitors (yet), but she has celebrated a major life event. She and girlfriend Robby Hoffman are married.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the former Bachelorette revealed that the two eloped in a 20-minute Las Vegas ceremony amidst the LA wildfires. “We had just evacuated from the fires. Literally cue Rihanna, ‘We found love in a hopeless place,’” said Windey. “What better time to get married than right now? Because if the world is ending, we want to be with each other.” According to the interview, Windey and Hoffman’s quiet nuptials were presided over by a minister in red sneakers and included a dance down the aisle to Chappell Roan. Hoffman wore a white button-down shirt and black pants. Her wife went slightly more traditional in a figure-hugging white lace dress.

The whole story reads like a rom-com. After evacuating their home in LA with nowhere to go, Windey and Hoffman decided to drive to Las Vegas, correctly assuming that if anywhere would have hotels available, it would be Vegas. As luck would have it, they got set up with a penthouse, and it felt like a sign.

“It looked like a wedding suite,” Hoffman told Cosmopolitan. “Gabby turned to me and she went, ‘Should we get married?’ And look: I’ve been proposing since the day I met her. We got to this room and it’s like out of a mafia movie, 12-foot ceilings, a separate bedroom from the living room, that type of hotel. And we were like, ‘Whoa.’ And then Gabby floated getting married.”
