Steps to make hidden pearl clam art
1: Cut and fold the egg cartons
Take your egg cartons and cut them into pairs. It will be easier if you keep the pairs connected so that when you fold it over they stay together without any glue or tape. Once you have the egg cartons cut into pairs, fold them together so the open sides touch and it makes the shape of a clam.
2: Decorate the egg cartons
Now, decorate the clam however you would like! You can add stripes, buttons, plants, gems or any other decorations you would like. There are lots of different types of clam so make them any color, any shape, and any size you want. Remember you can decorate the inside of the clam as well!
3: Add eyes and a pearl!
The last part of this art project is to add eyes and a pearl! Place some googly eyes and use a pom-pom for the pearl. Pears are lots of different shapes, colors and sizes, sometimes clams will have multiple different pearls too. To make this activity more fun, you could also glue the clams shut so that the pearl is protected.
