Nespresso opens Covent Garden flagship boutique; subscription case study

Nespresso has a new home in London’s Covent Garden, designed to offer a “unique haven” to touch, taste and explore the world of Nespresso coffee.

Spanning 1,345 sq ft, overlooking Covent Garden’s iconic West Piazza, the boutique encapsulates the Nespresso brand values whilst celebrating the architecture and history of the old bank building in the heart of London.

A ‘Taste and Discover’ bar area offers customers the opportunity to explore their own unique coffee preferences with curated recipes, while there will be also be tasting masterclasses, and new launches including the summer iced coffee collection. A dedicated personalisation area offers bespoke travel mug engravings and gift wrapping.

To further its mission on circularity, and as a certified B Corporation, Nespresso offers visitors a dedicated space in the boutique for coffee pod recycling and conversations with specialists about the sustainability and ethical sourcing behind each pod.

Anna Lundstrom, CEO of Nespresso UK&I, said: “Our flagship boutique in Covent Garden showcases Nespresso’s vision for the future of retail — a welcoming space in the heart of London’s vibrant cultural landscape.

“The boutique experience blends timeless elegance with modern innovation, offering coffee lovers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Nespresso brand, enjoy unforgettable coffee experiences and discover more about their individual coffee tastes — all with the guidance of our passionate and knowledgeable team.”

For coffee-lovers who want the famous pods straight to their front door, Nespresso Plus allows consumers to set up a regular coffee order (Auto-Delivery) and choose a selection of blends and how often to receive deliveries.

If a new subscriber needs a Nespresso coffee machine, they will receive up to £150 off the device when setting up a subscription.

Nespresso Plus members then enjoy a complimentary coffee sleeve with monthly orders exceeding 70 capsules, free delivery on every order, and exclusive perks. These benefits include early access to new coffee blends and special rewards, such as 20% off accessories and sweet treats.
