Shailene Woodley Reposted a Melania Trump Statement and Fans Are Concerned

Actor Shailene Woodley has raised a few eyebrows with her latest Instagram post, a move that was either innocuous or a subtle signal that she’s moved to the right politically.

On July 15, the Divergent star re-posted former First Lady Melania Trump’s statement about the failed assassination of her husband on Instagram Stories. Obviously, everyone agrees political violence is bad, and if Woodley was just echoing Mrs. Trump’s call to not do that, then, fine.

But the choice to re-post a statement from Team Trump, rather than writer her own message of peace, raised eyebrows.

The star has always been vocal about her politics. She loudly campaigned for Bernie Sanders and was arrested while protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. She said she wasn’t a feminist, then she said she was (We all learn over time!).

According to Wikipedia, she went to the inaugural Women’s March, though I couldn’t find any evidence of her attending.
